I am concerned about my HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning) Unit & the ductwork in my property. Where do I start??

When it comes to HVAC Units and ductwork systems, there can be a variety of potential problems that can lead to Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) issues such as, but not limited to, excessive moisture accumulation, fungal growth, debris accumulation, rodent activity, fiberglass deterioration, and even open return air ductwork in attic spaces, crawlspaces, etc.

Following NADCA published guidelines, we evaluate the current condition of the HVAC System & ductwork to locate these potential issues. We can provide guidance & instructions as to how the problems can be resolved by a Licensed Mechanical Contractor and/or Certified Restoration Company.

What type of filter media should I install in my HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning) Unit? What about Ozone & UV Light?

There are numerous varieties of filter media that can be installed within residential & commercial HVAC Units, in order to provide for air filtration. It the opinion of American Metropolitan Environmental, Inc. that research should be conducted on a case-by-case basis in order to determine which type and size of filter media should be installed. Consulting with your Mechanical Contractor is highly recommended for they can often determine the best option for your situation.
